The New Moon premiere in L.A. seems to have been what you can call a full success. thousands of fans had been camping at the Mann Village Theater, there was press all over the place and according to Taylor Lautner it was just 10 times bigger than the Twilight premiere a year ago. the Twilight fans made awesome posters that said for example ‘Team whatever I can get’ or ‘Rob my heart’.
The stars really donned some fancy stuff, unfortunately not all of it looked great. these are my 3 female winners of the night:
3rd winner: Julia Jones! in a white and pink strapless dress- youthful yet classy, the shoes didn’t work so great, but well…
Julia Jones
2nd winner: Ashley Greene in Prabal Gurung! It’s an amazingly elegant floor-length crimson dress with a artful sleeves.
Ashley Greene
1st winner: Elizabeth Reaser in Herve Leger! she picked a beautiful, understatement kind of outfit with a clear dominating line. The shoes look great with the dress plus clutch and jewelry are perfectly matched. That’s the way a woman should dress for such occasions.
Elizabeth Reaser
I know most of you would like to see Kristen as the winner but I just don’t think she’s there yet. I mean she’s only 19 so that’s perfectly alright. Seriously, who would wear a mullet and kinda cheap looking bracelets with an Oscar de la Renta gown??? If her hair had been in a chignon (classic knot) and she’d worn some small diamond bracelet, she’d been my #1, promise! nevertheless her, Taylor and Rob looked really good!
Taylor and Kristen
Mr. Pattinson
Unfortunately not everything was just as perfect. Rachelle LeFevre didn’t come to L.A. which I comprehend entirely. It would have been too hard on her I guess. Besides her dog was in the hosital als she quoted on her Twitter account:
If she’d been there, I would have chosen her as the glamour winner. She always kicks ass on the red carpet, I mean look at her. She’s beyond beautiful!
All in all it was a felicitous premiere and I am sure even the three leading actors had some fun- last but not least, at the after-party…
These three really funny videos were shot when the New Moon cast visited London. The British TV station T4 interviewd the three of them in the context of its’ Twilight day. It’s cool to listen Rob talking to a someone with a heavy british accent.
Check them out…
During the New Moon promotion tour the cast and Chris Weitz also visited Munich. They took part in a huge event including 20.000 fans and the only german band contributing to the German New Moon soundtrack; ‘Jennifer Rostock’. Their song for New Moon is calles ‘Es tut wieder weh’, meaning ‘It hurts again’. Plus they were awarded with one of the big European audience awards.
In the context of the New Moon promotion tour through Europe the main characters of New Moon and director Chris Weitz visited Paris. They checked in at the Crillon hotel the night before and seemed to be in a really good mood when they left, not without signing dozens of autographs. Hundreds of fans waited in front of the building and Taylor, Rob, Kristen and Chris Weitz actually took some time to greet them. Kristens style really is diversified. She obviously looked normal when they arrived at night but the next day she really dug deep. Sweet little draped, white dress, crazy-high peep-toes, elegant make-up… She really looked adorable but I’m not so sure if I like it. Those shoes look like she can barely lift them up with her thin legs and the white dress made her look kind of sick, plus it only had about 50 degrees in Paris. If she hadn’t been sick before she surely is now. She still looked great. Check out these pictures and the clip…
Check out the picture of rob and Kristen holding hands while walking towards their plane!
When selling thousends of New Moon tickets to Twilight fans, Fandango asked them to fill out a questionaire in order to find the answers for many questions. 2500 people were asked and the results are definately interesting but not shocking… Here are the rough facts:
96% read the book; 94% the entire series
only 32% have been fans before the first movie came out (!!!)
95% think that Chris Weitz has done a good job, regarding the critsicm in the beginning that’s really good news for him
93% say the action in New Moon looks better than in Twilight, which could attract much more guys
53% plan to watch the New Moon opening show at midnight
aaaand finnallyyyyy:
83%(!!!) are still Team Edward…. only 17% stated to be Team Jacob!
are you serious?!?! Not that I was Team Jacob all the way, but come on….. Poor guy!
Access Hollywood has published a new exclusive clip from New Moon. It shows the fight between Edward and the Volturi, which doesn’t actually exist in the book.
