New Moon characters in Paris

In the context of the New Moon promotion tour through Europe the main characters of New Moon and director Chris Weitz visited Paris. They checked in at the Crillon hotel the night before and seemed to be in a really good mood when they left, not without signing dozens of autographs. Hundreds of fans waited in front of the building and Taylor, Rob, Kristen and Chris Weitz actually took some time to greet them. Kristens style really is diversified. She obviously looked normal when they arrived at night but the next day she really dug deep. Sweet little draped, white dress, crazy-high peep-toes, elegant make-up… She really looked adorable but I’m not so sure if I like it. Those shoes look like she can barely lift them up with her thin legs and the white dress made her look kind of sick, plus it only had about 50 degrees in Paris. If she hadn’t been sick before she surely is now. She still looked great. Check out these pictures and the clip…

Tayler Lautner talks about the New Moon Trailer and Eclipse

At the VMAs Jocelyn Vena from MTV talked to Taylor Lautner about a ’shirtless competition’ between him and Rob Pattinson- bring it on!- new director David Slade and the atmosphere of Eclipse.

When being asked about a possible fan reaction to seeing him shirtless, Taylor smiled and said: ‘I think they might start crying’. And appearently Mr.Pattinson who appears shirtless as well, started bunking up, so a competition would end with a tie. Very generous Taylor! The shoot of Eclipse started like a month ago and he told MTV that working with new director David Slade has been interesting so far. Eclipse will have a whole darker tone than Twilight and New Moon do and much more action.

LA Times visited New Moon director Chris Weitz in Vancouver, Canada this May. He talked about film adaptions and how his ending for his last movie ‘the Golden Compass’ was rejected. Now he knows what he has gotten himself into with all the expectations and deadlines. 450 shots with visual effects, including the ones for Comic Con, are to be completed just like the soundtrack that will feature Band of Skulls, Radiohead and once again Muse. These year’s scenes for Comic Con will be both action and romance, so the actors should prepare for earbattering screaming. The audition’s opinion can be make or break for such a project but he’s pretty sure that the reactions on Thursday will be positive. The August 2009 issue of Interview Magazine will feature Taylor Lautner with an exclusive interview. He talks about the Twilight phenomenon, ‘intense’ fans and how it feels to be the center of attraction. He dishes on his part of the New moon love triangle and how him, Kristen and Rob got along on the set. Christopher Heyerdahl who will depict Marcus in New Moon talked about the shoot with Sci Fi Wire. The reason he actually took the job and got involved with the topic at all was his little niece ‘who is absolutely obsessed with this series of books’, he admits. He finds the impact the story has girls worldwide ‘amazing’. Working with the rest of the cast like micheal Sheen ‘was an absolute hoot’ in his eyes, ‘We had so much fun goofing off together’. What is also interesting is his approach to the character of Marcus, regarding his dead mate, his power-seeking fellows and the impact Edward’s and Bella’s love has on him. To us, this opens up dimensions that we never expected or considered of Marcus. It’s a thoroughly interesting and entertaining interview that can be read completely here.

Caius talks New Moon

Jamie Campbell Bower dished about the New Moon shoot at the premier of ‘Public Enemies’ saying that he really enjoyed working with the relatively young cast. He thinks that his costuming for the movie is ‘awesome’ and that Chris Weitz, the director, did a great job. He also has only good things to say about robert and Kristen, who in his eyes is very lovely and interesting. He says he ‘really, really likes her’ which fits in with the rumors that he’s Roberts No. 1 competitor concerning Kristen. In the end he also confirms that he’ll play Grindelwald in the new Harry Potter movie.
