Harry Potter owns Twilight
The Half-Blood Prince
Nobody would have guessed that: Harry Potter is on it’s way to ‘dethrone’ Twilight in advanced ticket sales. After Harry Potter was expected to never really resurface he’s now about to take the third spot on Fandango’s advanced ticket selling list of the last almost 10 years. That would put the 6th part of the series right behind ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Star Wars III’. By now it has sold more tickets than ‘Transformers II’ or ‘Sex and the City’ at this stage. A possible reason would be the 8 months delay and the built anticipation during the now 2 years since ‘The Order of the Phoenix’. One should also consider the permament apprearance of Robert Pattinson who also stared in the last 2 Harry Potter movies, in the media.
But even if Harry Potter outruns Twilight, it’s upcoming sequel New Moon will probably crush at least the record of the ‘Half-Blood Prince’ .
